See your lorries’ day from the office

LorryMate Planner runs in a browser on your office computer. Send a route to each driver, see where and how long your lorries stopped, and check a working day – your drivers keep using LorryMate in the cab.

Beta, in testing · No pricing yet · Nothing to install in the office

LorryMate Planner in a web browser

What you get

Five things

Send a route to each driver

Search for a place or click the map and send it to one driver’s LorryMate. The route itself is worked out in the cab for that lorry’s height, weight and width, so a 4 m box van and a 44 t artic get different roads.

See every working day

Trips are grouped into working days. Show a whole day on the map and replay it, with distance and time, where the lorry stopped and for how long, and the breaks the driver marked. A warning shows if the lorry moved more than 4 h 30 min without a suitable stop.

Check a day

Places where the lorry went over the limit on the signs, low bridges, weight and width limits, and roads not meant for HGVs. Each place is shown on the map and on a satellite photo, so you can see for yourself.

Live map while the driver is At work

The driver switches At work on, or it comes on when they start their working day. It goes off when the day ends, or after 16 hours. Outside work the company sees nothing – and the driver’s phone shows when the company can see them.

Drivers join themselves

Invite people with a one-time code (valid for 7 days) as driver, manager or both. A driver joins by agreeing first, and can leave the company at any time from the app.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Open sync.lorrymate.uk/planner on the office computer and connect it with a code from your own LorryMate app (Settings → Account → Code for another device).
  2. Create your company and send each driver an invite code.
  3. Drivers use LorryMate for Android as usual. Routes you send arrive on their device; their days appear in the Planner.

Be clear about this

What it is not

  • Not an official record. Stops, breaks and checks are estimates from the phone’s GPS and map data. They do not replace the official record of driving hours in your lorry.
  • Speed limits come from road signs in the map. UK lorry limits by vehicle class are not worked out yet.
  • It is a beta. Drivers need LorryMate for Android; there is no iPhone version yet.
  • There is no pricing yet. For now we are showing it to transport companies and listening.
