LorryMate assists you. It does not drive for you.
The sign at the bridge is the authority. The sign at the weight limit is the authority. If what the screen says and what the sign says do not agree, the sign is right and the screen is wrong — and please tell me, so it stops being wrong for everyone else.
Map data is never complete and never perfectly current. Roads close, limits change, and some restrictions were never recorded anywhere. You remain responsible for the route you drive and for the vehicle you are driving.
Do not operate the app while moving. Set your route before you set off.
Your vehicle's measurements
LorryMate routes using the height, width, length and weight you enter. If those are wrong, the route will be wrong. Measure your vehicle rather than estimating it, and raise the height setting before you plan a route when you are carrying a load that makes you taller than usual.
Test software
LorryMate is provided as test software, as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It may contain errors, it may stop working, and it may change without notice. It is currently free to use while in testing.
To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, delay, fine or penalty arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
What you may do with it
Install it on the devices you drive with, and use it for your own journeys. Please do not redistribute the APK, decompile it, or resell it. If a colleague wants a copy, send them to this website and I will know who is using it — which matters, because I need to know who to warn if something turns out to be wrong.
Reports you send
When you mark a road unsuitable, add a property, or record a bridge height, that observation becomes part of the map other drivers use. It is not attributed to you. See the privacy page for what is stored and what is not.
Contact
LorryMate is run by Vaidotas Navasaitis, an HGV driver in Hampshire. Questions, complaints and corrections all go to the same place: feedback@lorrymate.uk.
